Join our University Housing Team as a Desk Attendant! Desk Attendants serve as the first point of contact at residence hall front desks, providing essential support and resources to students and guests. Responsibilities include assisting with check-in and check-out, monitoring safety and security, answering phones and emails, and offering helpful information about campus services. This position requires evening, overnight, and weekend availability, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and residents. Desk Attendants play a key role in creating a welcoming, safe, and supportive living environment for our campus community.

26-27 Kinesiology Peer Tutor (ISA) Chico
The Kinesiology Department in the College of Communication and Education is collecting application materials for Peer Tutors for KINE 322, KINE 323, and KINE 480. Students who have successfully completed KINE 322: Biomechanics, KINE 323: Exercise Physiology, or KINE 480: Exercise Testing and Prescription will work for the Kinesiology Department as a peer tutor for undergraduate students. You will be scheduled to work 2-8 hours per week depending on availability and department need. Students will arrive to tutoring sessions with their course materials and questions, and you will assist them with lecture and lab material, in addition to providing an opportunity to practice lab skills. You are not expected to replace an instructor, rather you will help students as they work through challenging material.
Instr Stdnt Asst- English Summer Bridge Chico
EOP SUMMER BRIDGE WRITING MENTORS work with incoming freshmen who are participating in the Educational Opportunity Summer Bridge Program on the Chico State campus. Writing mentors lead breakout groups with students to support the writing in Summer Bridge. Mentors must be available on campus at various times during June 18-June 26, 2023. Mentors are paid for approximately 15 hours of work over the one-week period at the current ISA pay rate. (We meet for training June 18, then with students Sunday afternoon June 21, Monday morning June 22, Wednesday morning June 24, Thursday morning June 25, and Friday morning, June 26).

Instructional Student Assistant - Writing Mentors English Department Chico
Mentors work closely with the instructor of English 131, Writing Workshop, and support first-year students who are completing English 130W, Academic Writing. Writing mentors help students understand course goals and assignments and support students' growth as writers and college students. English 131 has two sections for mentors to join: Tuesdays, 2:00-3:15 AND/OR Wednesdays, 3:00-4:15. Mentors are also paid for a weekly mentor meeting (TBA) and for 1 hour of prep. Total hours: 3.5 to 5 hours per week.
