Role Description:
The Physics Department in the College of Natural Sciences is collecting application materials for Graders under the Position Title/Job Classification of Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) for the fall 2025 semester. Performing a Grader job also benefits the Grader by reinforcing their knowledge of physics.
Description of Duties:
The Instructional Student Assistant’s work schedule will be 2 hours per week over the course of the 15-week semester. Under instructor supervision, the Grader assists physics instructors with reviewing and grading students’ work/homework, adding notes or suggestions, and providing encouragement and/or feedback to promote student success. Grading work must be completed according to an agreed upon deadline set between the instructor and Grader.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to learn and perform assigned work; work cooperatively with faculty, staff and other students; accept responsibility; work with minimal supervision; accurately evaluate and return assignments in a timely manner; completion of specific coursework may be required (depends on the specific course; will be specified by the Instructor). Prefer student majors in the Physics Department but open to all majors who can meet the qualifications.
