Role Description: |
The Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs is seeking a Student Assistant to provide front desk support. Description of Duties: Responsibilities include handling extensive phone calls, supervising the VPSA reception area as backup, data entry, scanning digital files, assisting with developing standard operating procedures, providing customer service for students, staff, and special guests, greeting visitors, facilitating meetings in the office, cleaning and sanitizing the office, and other routine office tasks as assigned. The position begins after a successful background check, requiring 10-20 hours of work per week during the school year, with potential for additional hours during breaks. Proper attire is required due to the executive-level office environment. Minimum Qualifications: Applicants for this position must be sophomores or juniors with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and strong customer service skills. Proficiency in common office software is required. Preference is given to those with a Federal Work-Study award for the 2025-26 academic year and bilingual candidates. Desired majors include Business, Finance, Marketing, Communication, Journalism, Graphic Design, General Studies, and Undeclared. Exceptions to the minimum eligibility qualifications may be granted at the sole discretion of the University. |

All work must be performed within the State of California.
Compliance training completion (approx. 4 hours of work time) is required of this position within the first 30 days of work.
