Role Description:
The Kinesiology Department in the College of Communication and Education is collecting application materials for Teaching Associates to teach a section and serve as the instructor of record for Kinesiology class(es). Hold regularly scheduled office hour(s) each week. Prepare lectures, activities, and discussion topics per course schedule. Grade, provide student feedback, and assist students in learning.
Description of Duties:
The hours per week are based on course assignments and generally range from 3.5 to 6 hours per week.
Minimum Qualifications:
Teaching Associates (TA) must be a current graduate student at CSU, Chico in Kinesiology or a related field. TA’s must have the following knowledge and abilities: Ability to learn and perform assigned work; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other TA students; accept responsibility; work with minimal supervision; accurately evaluate and return assignments in a timely manner; and grade or tutor a course. The completion of specific coursework may also be required to teach specific Kinesiology courses. Exceptions to the minimum eligibility qualifications may be granted at the sole discretion of the University.
