Job Summary: The Department of Art & Art History in the College of Humanities and Fine Art is collecting application materials for the Student Photography Lab Tech position. The Student Photography Lab Tech will help maintain a safe, clean, and organized photography lab. This position allows a student to gain practical experience working in both digital and darkroom labs, including photographic equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities: · Complete assigned cleaning and organizational tasks in the darkroom labs and digital classroom lab. · Assist with equipment maintenance, including Epson printers and darkroom enlargers. · Assist with processing any equipment and/or supply donations. · Complete required online training.
Required Qualifications: · Basic experience with both digital and darkroom photography · Familiarity with Epson printers and Mac computer systems · Experience with using a darkroom enlarger · Knowledge of safe handling and proper disposal of any photographic chemistry · Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. · Dependable and responsible · Outstanding communication
