| Role Description: |
The Student Affairs Department in the College of Intercollegiate Athletics is collecting application materials for Athletics Event Staff
Description of Duties:
- Assist with the setup, operation, and breakdown of intercollegiate athletic events.
- Provide courteous, professional assistance to spectators, student-athletes, coaches, officials, visiting teams, and other event personnel.
- Monitor assigned areas and promptly report safety concerns, accidents, facility issues, or unusual activity to a supervisor.
- Follow event-specific instructions and perform assigned duties, which may include ticketing, ushering, crowd management, hospitality, field or court support, credentialing, or other operational functions.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings and remain focused on assigned responsibilities throughout the shift.
- Help create a positive environment that reflects the standards of Chico State and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
- Complete other event-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with members of the public.
- Dependability, punctuality, and the ability to follow instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of an event staff team.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and variable schedules based on event needs.
- General understanding of, or interest in, intercollegiate athletics.
Exceptions to the minimum eligibility qualifications may be granted at the sole discretion of the University.
