Role Description:

This position will assist the Recreational Sports Professional Staff in order to accomplish day to day tasks associated with Intra murals, Special Events, Sport Clubs, and programming within Recreational Sports. The position will be responsible for working a majority of weekdays as well as some weeknights and weekends. The student must have the ability to work autonomously and effectively with college students, faculty, staff, alumni and members of the community. HIPPA Compliance & Confidentiality:
The individual in this position is required to strictly maintain compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and all applicable University, CSU, and departmental privacy policies. This includes safeguarding the confidentiality of all medical records, injury reports, treatment notes, and any personal health information obtained through the course of employment. Unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or discussion of protected health information is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

Duties:

• Maintain First Aid, CPR, and AED certification
• Assist the ATC Office Manager with daily administrative and operational tasks
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Athletic Training Office
• Monitor the student-athlete sign-in process and office flow
• Assist with inventory, supply management, and equipment organization
• Help distribute staff apparel, medical equipment, and safety kits
• Assist with appointment scheduling and management of the AT Office booking page
• Provide front desk support and assist student-athletes with questions or scheduling
• Assist with Sport Club rosters and student-athlete eligibility documentation
• Enter athlete, injury, and treatment data into SportsWare
• Assist with SOAP notes, medical note transcription, and injury report tracking
• Maintain digital records and spreadsheets using tools such as Excel and Box
• Assist with baseline concussion testing scheduling and record keeping
• Support preparation of injury data and statistical reports
• Assist with scheduling logistics for Athletic Training Student Assistants and interns
• Help with purchase requests and supply ordering
• Support office projects, operational improvements, and special assignments
• Maintain professional communication with Rec Sports staff, student-athletes, and the university community
• Contribute ideas to improve office organization and workflow

Additional Information:

All work must be performed within the State of California.

Compliance training completion (approx. 4 hours of work time) is required of this position within the first 30 days of work.
