Role Description:

Position: Recreational Sports Marketing & Social Media Coordinator   

Position Description:

Recreational Sports is seeking an individual to join the Recreational Sports Professional staff in the marketing and promotion associated with Intramurals, Special Events, Sport Clubs, Wildcat Gaming and programming within Recreational Sports.  The position will be responsible for working some weeknights and weekends, as well as scheduled office hours. The candidate must have the ability to work autonomously and effectively with college students, faculty, staff, alumni and members of the community.  The student will meet weekly with other Recreational Sports staff and student employees to provide updates on progress and assign new projects.  The student must have a strong background in working with:

  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Canva
  • Various Social Media Platforms (Instagram, Twitter, etc...)
  • Visual editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, etc....)

Duties:

  • Manage current Recreational Sports social media platforms ensuring we are meeting current trends
  • Assist with development of marketing materials
  • Assist with development of visual material (photos, short videos, web shorts) showcasing the programs offered by the Recreational Sports department
  • Production of educational materials used to educate new and incoming students on the benefits of recreational sports participation
  • Production of presentation materials used to inform campus partners of the many and varied programs of Recreational Sports and how we serve students

All work must be performed within the State of California.
