SUMMER BRIDGE RESIDENT ADVISOR (evening/night shift)
Paraprofessional Advisor (part-time, 35-40 hours per week)
Summer Bridge Resident Advisor ($17.90/hr)
* Although we are moving forward with hiring, these positions are contingent on the state of campus operations and financial wherewithal in the 2026 - 2027 school year.
* This is a two-week position (6/15 – 6/26)
Summer Bridge: June 20 (Sat.) - June 26 (Fri.), 2026 (evening/night shift)
MANDATORY TRAININGS: Trainings MUST be attended.
Summer Trainings: 6/15, 6/17, 6/18, 6/19 (Training will be by day)
(Additional training dates may be given at the time of the interview)
SUMMER BRIDGE RESIDENT ADVISOR ($17.90/hr) - Plays an intricate part of Summer Bridge program. The Resident Advisor must at all times be a leader, role model and mentor, by following all rules and regulations set forth by EOP. Equally the advisor will need to ensure the participation of all students in every activity scheduled throughout the program, and enforce all regulations regarding the residence halls in accordance to university policies and procedures. The student leader will facilitate special activities as assigned by the program director, and maintain open communication with other student leaders, as well as with faculty and staff. Student leaders must be able to carry out assigned duties with a minimal amount of supervision.
· By fall 2026, be a junior, or senior with a 2.5 GPA or above preferred
· Possess above-average communication skills
· Ability to articulate and disseminate detailed information to individual & groups
· Have knowledge of EOP’s philosophy and goals
· Ability to relate to EOP students’ needs
· Work-study is mandatory

DUTIES INCLUDE, but are not limited to the following:
· Uphold policies and procedures for housing and EOP program (added)
· Actively participate in all trainings and staff meetings
· Refer students to services for any problem identified during contact
· Be available at all times when on shift
· Participate in student panels and presentations to large groups
· Facilitate or assist in planning large group activities
· Able to work flexible hours, including some required evenings and weekends
· Will need to be available to work at Summer Bridge, stay in the residence halls
· Evening/Overnight management of residential halls and serving as main contact
· Other duties as prescribed by your immediate supervisor

Additional Information:
All work must be performed within the State of California.
Compliance training completion (approx. 4 hours of work time) is required of this position within the first 30 days of work.
