Working in Student Life and Leadership gives students the opportunity to gain transferable skills in office administration, project management, professional communication, software exploration, and working in a collaborative team environment. Students working in SLL may expect to work with fun, creative, and energetic co-workers who treat them as a professional.
Marketing
· Do you have a creative mind and like to generate digital content? Would you like to help Recognized Student Organizations and Fraternities & Sororities create eye-catching branding material that will appeal to your peers, the student population?
· Any experience with Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop or Canva? We would like to see what you got! You can use this experience to build your professional portfolio.
· Must be able to edit, resize and convert images to work across platforms.
· We should do more surveys. Do you have any experience with surveys and generating relevant questions to get pertinent and valuable results?
· SLL offers some amazing opportunities for our students throughout the semester and we need you to help create meaningful content and then deliver it in a professional and timely fashion.
Social Media
· How savvy are you with Social Media? Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Hootsuite, Tumblr, Reddit, Youtube? We need you!!
· Do you have creative ideas on how to get students engaged in a virtual setting? How about in-person?
Tabling
· Do you enjoy being outside? A portion of your work hours will serve as the student organizations representative out at a table in different locations on campus. We hope this visibility encourages students to get involved and ask any questions that they may have in the moment.
Office Administration
· Process all student organization “Recognition” applications with the help of additional Parapro’s. Heavily rely on CatsConnect and Excel to track progress and provide prompt acceptance to recognized student organizations.
· Full 20hr/week availability during training and the first two weeks of school is possible.
· Work directly with programming groups on campus such as Associated Students, WREC, Housing, Library, ASP, etc.
