| Role Description: |
The Educational Opportunity Department is collecting application materials for a combined position for Resident Advisors for the Summer Bridge program (June 15-26, 2026) and Parapro Advisors for the 2026-27 academic year.
DUTIES INCLUDE, but are not limited to the following:
· Assist in academic advising for first-year freshman students
· Assist in facilitating workshops
· Actively participate in all trainings and weekly staff meetings
· Refer students to services for any problem identified during contact
· Distribute and follow up on mid-semester progress evaluations
· Participate in student panels and presentations to large groups
· Facilitate or assist in planning large group activities
· Able to work flexible hours, including some required evenings and weekends
· Will need to be available to work at Summer Bridge, stay in the residence halls and attend training in June (Summer Bridge is six days, training is four days)
· Other duties as prescribed by your immediate supervisor
Minimum Qualifications:
By fall 2026, be a junior, or senior with a 2.5 GPA or above preferred (Sophomores will be considered)
· Possess above-average communication skills
· Ability to articulate and disseminate detailed information and speak to large groups
· Have knowledge of EOP’s philosophy and goals
· Ability to relate to EOP students’ needs
· Work-study is mandatory
Exceptions to the minimum eligibility qualifications may be granted at the sole discretion of the University.

All work must be performed within the State of California.
Compliance training completion (approx. 4 hours of work time) is required of this position within the first 30 days of work.
