Position Title: Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) – POLS 155, Instructor Support, Spring 2026

Role Description:
The Political Science and Criminal Justice Department in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences is collecting applications for an Instructional Student Assistants (ISA) to support sections of POLS 155 American Government: National, State and Local. The ISA’s primary role will be to support the instructor with the course.
Description of Duties:
- Assist 20 hours per week
- Attend course lectures
- Assist faculty member in preparing for class
- Hold office hours 1x a week
- Read and evaluate student papers and assignments
- Maintain/submit student records (e.g. grades)
- And other relevant tasks as assigned by the faculty member
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate students preferred; undergraduates will be considered dependent on experience.
- Must have successfully completed POLS 155 (or its community college equivalent).
Exceptions to the minimum eligibility qualifications may be granted at the sole discretion of the University.
