| Role Description: |
America Reads/Counts Specialist supports K–12 students through academic mentoring and cultural programming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build positive relationships and provide academic support to assigned K–12 students.
- Assist with tracking attendance, providing snacks, and supporting cultural and academic activities.
- Participate in partner and Tribal Relations staff meetings.
- Promote the mission of the Office of Tribal Relations on and off campus.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist in supervising students during program hours.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Must comply with CSU Executive Order 1083 (Mandated Reporter).
- Completion of compliance training (approx. 4 hours) within 30 days of hire required.

Education Code 89521 Requirements: Applicants will be required to disclose whether they have received a final administrative decision or final judicial decision determining that they have committed sexual harassment within the last 7 years only after a determination is made that they meet the minimum qualifications for the position, and before an offer of employment is extended.
