Role Description:

The College of Engineering, Computer Science and Construction Management is collecting application materials for...

Description of Duties:

•Attend weekly social media meeting  

Development and management of content (including video) for web and social media  

• Utilizes best processes, methods and strategies to maximize our marketing and social media presence to grow engagement and followers on social media platforms 

• Online outreach and promotion using social media sites which you determine are effective for our marketing strategy 

•Produce graphic design elements to create content that is appealing to potential audience 

•Respond to comments and direct messages on social media platforms with responses that generate positive correspondence 

• Monitor effectiveness of outreach and engagement of our student population through the various medias students are using on a daily basis, using surveys and other market data gathering methods 

• Documentation of all steps and procedures for all social media accounts, as well as training for staff on proper procedures to monitor and post on social networks 

The ideal candidate will have great leadership, interpersonal and customer service skills, and be comfortable talking with a variety of people including students, staff and faculty and be able to work collaboratively with others. The candidate should be detail-oriented, thorough and able to take initiative in marketing College of ECC events and information. General knowledge of College of ECC is helpful. Must be proficient at a variety of social media platforms and have a good understanding of PR copywriting.  

 

Work schedule will be approximately 15 hours per week during the academic year with some weekend duties. This position is not expected to require work when school is not in session.

Compliance training completion (approx. 4 hours of work time) is required of this position within the first 30 days of work. Student employees not meeting this requirement may be released from employment. 

 

California State University, Chico, in accordance with CSU policy, may require that the successful candidate complete a background check (including a criminal records check, sexual offender registry check and/or fingerprinting) prior to assuming this position. Minimum Qualifications:

 Social media experience-editing, filming, posting, content creation. 

 Strong work ethic, good customer service skills and enthusiastic attitude 

 Self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and friendly 

 Enrolled at Chico State for at least one full semester.

 Proficiency in Microsoft Office 

Exceptions to the minimum eligibility qualifications may be granted at the sole discretion of the University.
