Role Description: |
The Office of Tribal Relations is seeking a dedicated and motivated team member to support our academic and cultural programs. Responsibilities include basic clerical and programmatic duties:
Programmatic Elements:
- Build positive relationships with mentees/students.
- Participate in collaborative partner’s staff meetings.
- Support staff to assist with tracking student attendance while support with snacks.
- Assist with planning and implementing cultural activities related to academic areas.
- Attend all Office of Tribal Relations staff meetings.
- Assist in implementing programming around cultural history and resources.
- Be an ambassador for the Office of Tribal Relations and represent its mission statement.
- Other duties as assigned.
Ability to:
- Perform tasks in a mixture of both sedentary and physical labor.
- Lift/carry up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Assist with supervising K-12 student participants during program hours.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Follow directions and function within University policies and procedures.
Exceptions to the minimum eligibility qualifications may be granted at the sole discretion of the University.

Additional Information:
All work must be performed within the State of California.
Compliance training completion (approx. 4 hours of work time) is required of this position within the first 30 days of work.
The person holding this position is not considered a ‘mandated reporter’ under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.
