Role Description: |
Chico State Project Rebound is hiring paid peer workers for the Fall 2025 semester, with the possibility of continuing into the 2025-26 school year.
Description of Duties: Peer workers are the outreach face of Chico State’s Project Rebound, both on and off campus, and role models for other Project Rebound students. This position is available to enrolled Project Rebound students who have demonstrated qualities of mentorship and leadership. Peer workers report directly to the Chico State Project Rebound Program Coordinator. Typical duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Table for Project Rebound on campus and at relevant off-campus events.
- Provide peer mentorship and support to Project Rebound students.
- Staffing the front desk of the Drop-In Center.
- Attend once a week student staff meetings.
- Attend monthly 1-on-1 meetings with your supervisor.
- Available to work 10-15 hours per week, sometimes on weekends or off campus with advance notice.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Be an enrolled Project Rebound student; priority is given to formerly incarcerated students.
- Junior, senior, or graduate student from any major with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Undergraduates must be enrolled in and complete at least 6 units each semester they are employed; graduate students must be enrolled in and complete at least 4 graduate-level units each semester they are employed.
- Commitment to being a positive role model to new and prospective Project Rebound students.
- Ability to learn and perform assigned work.
Exceptions to the minimum eligibility qualifications may be granted at the sole discretion of the University.

Additional Information:
All work must be performed within the State of California.
Compliance training completion (approx. 4 hours of work time) is required of this position within the first 30 days of work.
The person holding this position is not considered a ‘mandated reporter’ under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.
