Role Description:

The Humanities Center in the College of Humanities and Fine Arts is collecting application materials for the student assistant position.

Description of Duties: 

Student will assist the Director and Board of the Humanities Center with promotional work for on-campus events, including postering around campus, creating promotional materials (posters, emails, etc.), and assisting with tracking attendance at key events. The student will be expected to attend University Film Series and Visiting Scholars events as well as two board meetings of the Humanities Center. At the board meetings, student will be a crucial part of ongoing conversations and brainstorming about increasing student engagement at our events.

This position does not require previous experience, but applicant should be able to perform general clerical duties, have good organizational and communication skills (oral and written), and possess proficient computer skills. Assistant is expected to efficiently multi-task, maintain files and records, and work independently as well as function cooperatively and productively within a team environment. Applications from students with majors in HFA and/or interest in the humanities is preferred.

Hours are flexible.  Approximately 2-5 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications: must have a minimum GPA of 2.5

Exceptions to the minimum eligibility qualifications may be granted at the sole discretion of the University.
