| Role Description: |
The School of the Arts in the College of Humanities and Fine Arts is collecting application materials for a student assistant in Electrics Crew. Hours are flexible and no experience is required.
Description of Duties:
Specific Job Duties: 75%
- Demonstrate the ability to read plots and paperwork and then interpret and implement
- Rig, focus, circuit and operate necessary lighting equipment
- Use of devices like barn-doors, gobos, gel and other attachments to control lighted areas
- Maintain lighting equipment in good safe working condition
- With supervision, taking on electrical maintenance duties as needed
- Operating within current health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment
Miscellaneous Duties: 25%
- Clean up fixtures/gear from theatre and return to light lab
- Maintain a clean and organized light lab
- Report needs to Supervisor
- Log work times on monthly calendar located in scene shop and on CHRS.
- Sign monthly timesheet when ready.
Hours per week: 6-20 hours

Additional Information:
All work must be performed within the State of California.
Compliance training completion (approx. 4 hours of work time) is required of this position within the first 30 days of work.
