| Role Description: |
Classroom Technology Services (CTS) is the first point of contact for classroom and conference room technology on campus. We are responsible for the installation, maintenance, and technical support for classroom technology.
There will be up to 30 hours per week available during the summer break, and approximately 15 hours a week during the semester (no more than 20).
The student assistant position has the following responsibilities:
- Inventory, maintenance, cleaning, storage maintenance, and cable management for over 300 classroom and conference spaces throughout the university.
- Assisting with technical projects and other duties. This could include imaging PC's, updating drivers, preventative maintenance in the classrooms, storage organization, training documentation, and other tasks as needed.
- Answer telephone support calls and be able to assist the customer with basic troubleshooting or document the issue for staff to assist the customer with more technical issues.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills both in person and over the phone
- An ability and desire to learn new technologies
- Be punctual
- Work with little supervision
