Role Description:

The Provost Office is looking for a proactive and dependable student to support front desk operations and administrative tasks. You'll serve as the first point of contact for visitors, assist with event coordination, and collaborate with staff, faculty, administrators, and fellow student employees to support the overall functions and activities of the office and Academic Affairs.

You'll serve as the first point of contact for visitors, assist with event coordination, and collaborate with staff, faculty, administrators, and fellow student employees to support the overall functions and activities of the office and Academic Affairs.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled at Chico State
  • Familiarity with basic office software such as Microsoft 365.

Desired skills and abilities:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in communication and digital content tools such as Canva, Adobe Express, and Cats Connect
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated reliability, initiative, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Willingness to learn new tools and adapt to changing needs
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse campus constituents.

All work must be performed within the State of California.

Compliance training completion (approx. 4 hours of work time) is required of this position within the first 30 days of work.
