This is an entry level position. Under the general supervision of the Office Coordinator, the student assistant plays a vital role in the Student Conduct, Rights, and Responsibilities office.

Primary Duties include:

General Reception and Office Duties: answering phones, reception, clerical support, photocopying, scanning, filing, preparing mailings, distribution of office mail, scheduling meetings, data-entry, generation of reports, monitoring and stocking office supplies, completing office errands, and other duties as assigned.

The person holding this position is considered a “Limited Mandated Reporter” under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in the CSU Executive Order 1083 (revised July 21, 2017) as a condition of employment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualities and Skills Required and Preferred:

Required: Professionalism, customer service, good written and verbal communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently, initiative, ability to handle workload in a responsible, confidential and timely manner. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, etc.

Preferred: Knowledge of office procedures and equipment (phones, scanner, faxes, copiers,) web maintenance and web-based software, and familiarity with campus facilities.

Exceptions to the minimum eligibility qualifications may be granted at the sole discretion of the University.

All work must be performed within the State of California.

Compliance training completion (approx. 4 hours of work time) is required of this position within the first 30 days of work.
