| Role Description: |
The Anthropology Department in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences is collecting application materials for our department office Student Assistant.
Description of Duties:
Work hours: 5-10/hours per week
General Duties:
- Greet students, faculty, staff, and visitors – general office coverage
- Answer in-coming calls and emails relay department voicemails/messages
- Assist office staff with various administrative tasks, small projects, and requests
- Light office maintenance & cleaning
- Proof-read and send out announcements and e-mails
- Distribute event flyers
- Sort and distribute mail
- Hang posters and other campus errands
- Assist with department event set up and clean up when available
Department Level Projects:
- Review Department calendars and reserve appointments for exclusive spaces
- Assist with organization of the classrooms and office space
- Prepare, organize, and review event material with office staff
- Assist during Department events, pending availability
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualifications:
This job requires an individual with developed organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook is appreciated. Must have the ability to follow directions, demonstrate initiative, communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and work well with others.
Non-BSS Majors may apply to this position.
